Here at the Bridle Horse Shop I am all about tradition.
I have actively been a student and admirer of the
bridle horse culture for many years.

HOw I approach MY work

Through my shop, I want to continue to support and encourage that style of horsemanship with traditional equipment that works as good as it looks. Speed and mass production are not part of the Bridle Horse Shop mentality. Every piece of equipment that comes out of the shop is made with the same commitment, integrity, and pride that you put into making a bridle horse. I use only the finest English style bridle leathers, and #1 Hermann Oak skirting and strap leather for all my projects. You can ride knowing the Bridle Horse Gear stamp puts your outfit a notch above the rest.

TRADITION

In the early days there were many big saddle shops that made everything from saddles and harness, to gun holsters and headstalls. Every item to come out of those big shops was made to high quality standards for the working cowboys in their region. Most of those items today are prized collector pieces.

There are very few big shops left anymore. Most of the top saddlemakers today are more specialized and run a small shop, building just saddles. The quality of many of these saddles is absolutely outstanding, but I know from experience that it is difficult to find strap goods that are of the same high quality. Good saddlemakers simply can’t take time away from the next saddle customer to make someone a pair of spur straps, or a breast collar, or headstall etc.

This is where the Bridle Horse Shop comes in. I don’t make saddles, although I have in the past. My focus is on high quality, well made strap goods so that a cowboy and his horse are outfitted from top to bottom with the best equipment available.

"I KNOW COWBOYS THAT ARE STILL USING THE SAME HEADSTALL
THEY BOUGHT FROM ME 20 YEARS AGO, AND I HAVE
A COMMITMENT TO THAT TYPE OF QUALITY."
